Slovenian food fit for castle inhabitants

Unusual for a tourist attraction (ie Ljubljana's signature castle), this inn-like restaurant enjoys an outstanding reputation for its updated Slovenian classics prepared by not one but two of the city's celebrated chefs who have existing establishments in their own right: Ana Ros (of Hise Franko) and Svetozar Raspopovic (of Gostilne As). Their menu combines three major European cultures: Alpine, Pannonian and Mediterranean. Lots of vegetables and pumpkin seed oil and other typical Slovenian ingredients, many of them Slovenian-sourced, all used to inventive effect.
