Slovenian Friday food market for all
A buzzy, centrally located food market with dozens of outdoor stalls serving freshly cooked Slovenian and international food prepared right then and there by different Slovenian chefs. Open for a 12-hour food marathon every Friday (weather permitting) from mid-March until October. Featuring "30 different food providers, including top modern Ljubljana restaurants (an inexpensive method of sampling their menus), traditional gostilnas, tourist farms and independent chefs wanting to promote their offerings". Warning for some: the experience includes "music and entertainment". Located alongside architect Joze Plecnik's lovely colonnade, part of the Central Market.
